Everyone has different reasons to start learning English, and whatever your reasons are, you need a little courage to take the first step. Here I have a tip to make your first step easier. Imagine you only know a word "Arigato" to show your appreciation and then you learn to say "Thank you" . This small step makes huge difference. It means that you can express your gratitude to more people than you can possibly do in one language. Isn't it amazing? Every single word you learn will be a key for the door to a whole new world.

“All is well” is a famous German expression, Alles Gute! I always think of this phrase every time I encounter hardship in life or at work. It helps me too when I am learning new things and adjusting from new environment. It is my hope it will be your go-to phrase when you experience difficulty in learning English! All is well! You will be fine! You will succeed! Keep trying! Keep learning! I can’t wait to meet you!

I’ve studied 6 languages in my life and now I can only communicate with 2 of them: English and Japanese. For the other languages: French, Spanish, Latin, and Yiddish. I took classes 5 days a week and even did a few homestays when I was a child. Now I can’t speak them at all. Why is Japanese different? I found hobbies that use Japanese. Ex: Japanese music, Japanese novels, Japanese music (without subtitles). Let’s try to find your hobby that uses English!
