Growing up in a bilingual household, I became aware of the importance of learning a second language early in life. Whether you start learning at 5 or 55, language can not only expand your world, but also help you learn about yourself !
What's up. Learning a language is a little like learning to ride a bike. The more you talk, write, and listen, the better you become. Then you can have fun in a lot of different countries. With your new and improved English skills you can meet a lot of new people and experience exciting adventures. Learn English to improve yourself.
Hi ! I'm Michelle from Detroit, Michigan U.S.A. I like to travel and learn about other people and their cultures. I love Japan ! I really enjoy the cuisine and the kind nature of the natives. I love to share my language and culture in a fun and meaningful way. Everyone is welcome to study with us at English Club. No matter what level you are on, we can help take you to the next. Come on ・・・ Don’t be shy. It’ll be fun !!!! Hope to see you soon.
The biggest culture shock for me is how cute everything tries to be. Everything from snack food & restaurants to the post office & even the Tokyo police force has their own cute animated mascot. Even government uses Hello Kitty as their tourism mascot, and it doesn’t get any cuter than that.
I've always been interested in Japanese books and films, and I came here to sink deeper into the culture.Teaching is very rewarding because I'm able to watch people improve step by step and feel that I've made a difference.
The only culture shock I have experienced and still continue to experience, is when the cleaning ladies come into men's changing rooms at Onsens!
My most profound culture shock was riding the morning train during rush hour. I had no idea how crowded a train car could become.
